Freezer Space Needed: 7-8 cubic feet for a whole share
Our pork shares are sold by the pound based on hang weight—the weight after harvest but before cutting and packaging.
Half Share – $5.00/lb
Whole Share – $4.50/lb
Hang weight is typically about 60% of the live weight. For a 300 lb pig, that’s approximately 180 lbs of hang weight.
Here’s what that could look like:
Half Share: 90 lbs × $5.00 = $450
Whole Share: 180 lbs × $4.50 = $810
✅ Price includes processing and packaging
⚠️ Hang weight is not the final take-home weight
💡 You will only be charged based on the actual hang weight
You’ll receive about 65–70% of the hang weight in packaged pork, depending on your cut preferences. Using the 180 lb example:
Half Share: ~60–65 lbs
Whole Share: ~120–130 lbs
Each share includes a mix of:
Chops & Steaks (loin chops, shoulder steaks)
Roasts (shoulder/Boston butt, fresh ham)
Ground Pork & Sausage
Bacon & Fresh Side Pork (uncured)
Optional Cuts like hocks, ribs, and organs (upon request)
